about

Track two is written as a reflection of the beginning and the end of of Neros life. It is said his final words were "Oh, what an artist dies in me"
Here he particularly reflects on the beginning of his life and how his mother had manipulated him from youth for her gain.

Lyrically I am particularly proud of the use of the words "Catea" and "Iad" the Roman-Latin words for "Bitch" and "Hell"
Read the lyrics and change these words in the first verse and change these words to English and see if you notice something...

lyrics

Now it's time to open up the book
to my cursed life
I have walked through the fires of Rome
and been erased from time
A life laid out by an evil Catea
she holds the keys to Iad
Agrippina was her name
Twas I that she would sell

CHORUS
Oh what an Artist Dies in me (x4)

A composer of many songs
and the greatest actor too
In my time I did nothing wrong
Those accusations were untrue
I was more than just a God
I ruled over sea, air and land
with a twist of my wrist
Your blood was in the sand
